I always worry about killing bugs as i fear they have larger older brothers lurking in the closet.
Another SOOC shot for my get-pushed challenge set by @anne_k... Anne challenged me to "take a SOOC image using light and shadow to create a sense of drama"...
i'm not entirely happy with this... a bit too much shadow i'm afraid... i played with a variety of techniques to get light in meeeeeester penguin's eyes, but i couldn't manage to pull it off without mucking up the overall contrast and darkness...
i think i need a break from penguin shots... however this was in my head and needed to be exorcised... that and i have a bunch of work i need to do for tomorrow... catch y'all later!
@jyokota hi Junko... There are a couple ways of doing this... I actually used two penguins for this... One is behind the screen (a plain piece of paper, actually) w the light behind it casting the shadow on the screen... I think you could pull off something similar w the light on the floor and the set up on a table... But then the smaller penguin would have been fully lit...
Even cooler with the explanation, above. Thank you for that. I am not sure how I feel about light in Meester Penguin's eyes. I know it was a goal, but It might keep me awake at night, 'cause he has a big brother.
