Hi! I'm planning a week of my Chinese chess set, I'd love to do one like this......if you don't mind.

How do you get that round soft light immediately behind the chess piece?? Is it 'just' a torch?

@30pics4jackiesdiamond weeeeellllll... in this case, i did use a very bright, very focused flashlight... but the original had light spilling out all over the background... which is what i thought i wanted... but then i started editing and got rid of most of that extra light and ended up with what you see here...

When i want more of a silhouette effect, like the image in the link below, i've used a "spotlight background" on my iPad... i create these in photoshop (i can explain how if it would help)... https://365project.org/northy/365/2021-11-29
