This is a great shot reflecting the desolation (I presume) of the main subject. I think you did super well reflecting the integrity of the subject and yet the problems he might have. A+. A favorite.
Great back alley feel, for sure! I was focused on the guys in the back initially. When my eyes came around to the guy with the hoodie, I jumped! My adrenaline started flowing just thinking about taking a photo like this! Lol! How do you pull this off? How often are you caught by your subject??

TC - i think most of the time people don't realize that they are the focal point of a picture... i assume that they just assume i am shooting the architecture or something... this was trickier because there was nothing else around... and while i couldn't care less if he caught me out, it would have spoiled the shot if he'd reacted, y'know? and the angle was tricky because of cars, barriers and stuff... this is actually a fairly tight crop of a much larger image...
