i don't know why i insist on doing these things to myself - it's a ridiculous amount of work ;p
a composite (obviously)... the chess shot in macro, then me... then used PSE to mush it together, and add the floor reflection of me in the the interests of verisimilitude... then to nik silver efex to convert to black and white, and then to colour efex for some filters to try to pull the thing together...
phew... a gazillion shots of me (i suck as a model) and 3 edits later... voila... for the mad minute word challenge and the technique challenge...
Because you like to challenge yourself ... because you are into developing your skills as a photographer/image maker........ this is brilliant! I have no idea how.. and I wish I could! Fav!
Oh my, I'm tired of just think of all the work you put into this amazing shot. I love it you even have the black on to defeat the what knight. You do have an interested mind and brilliant way of expression. FAV
fab job - I feel your pain with the length of time to do these - I can never find a space big enough in my house to shoot myself in - and then there's all the to'ing nad fro'ing - I need to find myself a permanent model (and a studio!!)
A lot of excellent choices in this photo! If someone came to the door when you were flapping away with your stick at nothing, they might have gone away!
@maggiemae ok - can i just say i'm not sure whether to be worried or not about the fact that NO ONE in my house gave me a second glance as i flounced around the living room with a mask and a dagger?
@sparkle indeed... i informed my hubby yesterday that i need proper studio space with proper lighting and a WALL... have you any idea how difficult it is to find a clear wall in my house to use as a backdrop? ;p
Excellent! Well done! Bravo! Well worth all the trouble it took to pull it all together. Had to laugh though when I read that your family did not find it strange to see you jumping all around the room in a mask and with a sword.
Lady, I thought I was looking at a Gigi photo when I saw this. Awesome result for all your hard work.
Reading the description of all the steps involved made my head spin. Your efforts paid off handsomely.
