how come there was no mist here? hmmmm. thinking about it now i didn't go out of the house at all on sunday! i love the drama and mystery of this shot.
Wooow beautiful misty mood and the trees look amazing. I'm a bit distracted by the bright sky on top, and I think the image would be even stronger if you just crop the top part off. The people would then be wrapped in the mist and framed by the noir tree silhouettes + the image aspect ratio would work very well. What do you think ?
@janim yes - i think you are right... this is already a huge crop (and my 3rd or 4th go) from a much larger image... when i composed i had the idea of keeping these winding paths in the frame, but this meant a bunch of cars in the shot on the left... anyhow... i think i was also seduced by the detail in the trees, but you are right that a tighter crop would work better... tx!!!
I love this. Beautifully composed. Agree with @janim and @jocasta, think it works better without the distraction of the bright sky at the top. Great B&W.
