@melorac Oh Carole you are really on a role (or should I say roll?) today!! I'm not certain, but something in me says irises are actually edible. Now I'm going to have to see if i can find out if they really are. @karenann Thank you Karenann! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen!
Some wild irises are edible - their root is known as orris root, used in herbal medicine and in perfumes. HOWEVER, the ornamental garden iris is not edible. It is poisonous.
@allie912 Thank you Allison! Yes, I love the way they are beading up on the petals. @bruni Thank you so much Bruni!! How are you feeling today? @cimes1 Thanks Carole! I really appreciate all the comments you've left!
Thank you all for your comments as I slowly catch up to the massive amount of photos I've missed!
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann for asking. there are times during the day where the pain is bearable and then there are other times when only a pain killer will help. but I've a feeling it's slowly getting better. at least I'm up and about. going in the pool and hot tub as well as a car ride driving country roads. so I'm not complaining.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki- they are very pretty. These were "hand-me-downs" from a friend who was getting rid of them as they were taking over the spot he had them in!
