This lovely little plant appeared unexpectedly in one of my pots this summer. It just bloomed last week. I was afraid of an early frost when the temperatures dropped the other day, so I took the picture of its pretty flower on Sunday just to be safe and processed it with my "recipe" for this week's Same Setting shot. I've been trying to figure out what it is, but keep going around in circles! It appears to be in the Sunflower family but I'm not sure.
Beautiful - it's petals look like a dahlia's - but the centre of seeds show it isn't - if it's sunflower related maybe it came via a bird - I've had various sunflowers grow from spilt or pooed bird seed!

let's just call it a daisy until someone else comes with the real name. :-) it's a very cute flower. methinks the girls (little piggy and little wahoo) would love to wear that on their hair.
