Continuing with some archival shots for the December Holiday Challenge. These shots were taken in 1994 when my son and I went to Rockefeller Center with a friend and her daughter to skate on the famous ice rink. Paul Manship's sculpture of Prometheus bringing fire to mankind glistened in the sun. Fortunately neither flame or sun were warm enough to melt the ice that day! I was hoping to find a close up of one of those angels leading up to the tree, but can't seem to find it amongst my many photos, so the long shot will have to do. I believe the tree is always purchased from someone in NY state. It's been many years since I've been to NYC in December, but it was always an activity I looked forward to!
