Pop Art Flower by olivetreeann

Pop Art Flower

After Laraine and I spent time shooting grounds at Grey Towers we went back into Milford to an eclectic consignment shop run by a friend. I loved this glass piece with the flower painted on it. But it was less expensive to take a picture of it, rather than bring it home to model!
Very cool

Thank you Kerri, Taffy, Brian, Sally, Dione, Alia, Colleen, Nada, Michael, Carla, Lisa, Laraine and Rick! It's fun to run these shots through the effects every once in a while. These colors are picked automatically, so if I'd had control over what colors I used, I'd probably have done it differently. But these kept the spirit of the original flower (which was yellow on orange glass), so I decided to keep it.

@nadaa I did!
@eniaral I could have shot off 50 shots of all that glass in the window easily!! The pop art effect really suited Jerry's shop altogether.

Looks very coo\, Ann. I like the effect and wonder what effect you're talking about. I'm always interested to learn.

@bruni Thanks Bruni! This effect is found on iPiccy- it's called Pop Art. It takes your photo and puts it into four blocks with different color combos in each block. You can ask it to randomize the colors, but you can't control which colors it uses. There are times when I wish I could take one color combo from one, two from another and another from some place else- but you can't pick and choose- you have to take what it gives you. I have also replicated this effect in Ribbet by using the "Duo-Tone" effect with different color combos and saving them, the putting them all together in a collage. But it takes much longer! What I would suggest is to take a shot of an object- maybe a vase or something and upload it to iPiccy and play around with it so you get the feel the effect. Then when you shoot a shot that lends itself to this application you'll know what you can do with it.

Thank you Ann. shall play a little, but today let's celebrate Mother's Day. too bad the weather isn't the greatest. we might not even go for a walk at Bruce's. Grace and I are driving to visit him and his family. all the kids are home this weekend and I'm always game to spend some time with them. have a good one, Ann.

@prttblues Thanks Bev! The colors are pre-picked. I wish I had more control over them but this combo wasn't too bad.
