The Just 4 June word today is "bright" as in colors or shiny. Since I was doing the food shopping today, I didn't think I'd have too much trouble finding something to illustrate this word. I found what I was looking for in the Personal Care aisle. You'd never find me wearing these colors on my lips- but they sure look pretty on the tubes! I wish I'd paid a little more attention to my margins when snapping the shot- that right side is cut off a bit. But I must admit there was a guy on his cell phone standing nearby giving me the most curious stare which probably made me speed things up a bit quicker than usual!
Great shades and interesting names for these lipsticks! I would feel a bit silly taking photos of things in the supermarket too but there is a lot of POs there!

Normally I'm quick and take the shot when the aisle is just about empty. But this fellow was standing by the shampoo and just talking away, so it was now or never. When I pulled out the camera he seemed a bit startled and then confused as I started to focus on the lipstick. I just pretended not to really see him!
Nice shot, Ann! :) Love all the different shades! I too would never wear those colors. I like the softer shades that look like I'm almost wearing nothing... oh and the dark shade that looks like I'm trying to be goth. I love the fact that one slot is missing a tube! Did you take it out for effect? Nice job!
I found similar inspiration last year in the lipstick section of the drugstore. The tubes were all round, however, which gave a different composition. I like them both because the range of reds is so beautiful.

Great idea for the challenge! I'd probably have been put off by the guy on the phone too (I rarely get my camera out at all if there is anyone in sight!)
