Thank you Taffy and Maggie! This was a difficult shot to take because the sun was directly overhead and washing out everything! Plus if I didn't watch where I was standing my shadow would fall across the blossom in an unbecoming way. But I eventually found one where I could get most of the color and no shadow.
Thank you Lisa, Terry, Donald, Laraine, Nicole, and Matilda! This water feature was surrounding an interesting collection of abstract sculptures and Greco-Roman columns. But the lilies were far more interesting to me! Love your tag Matilda! Sounds like you and my husband would probably get along famously in the coffee department!
@alia_801 Thanks Alia! It was midday and the sun was directly overhead which is sometimes tricky to shoot in. But in this case it did help to feature the lily more because it made the water look so black.
this is really pretty. for some reasons, i haven't seen any around here. i haven't stalked a rich person's garden that's probably why. fabulous shot, ann!
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! This was the sculpture garden my friend took me too. There's a couple natural ponds around here that have them and every year I say to myself, "When they bloom, I've got to go take some pictures of them!" Maybe this year... @mrssmith203 Thank you Carla! They really were very pretty!
