31 Days of Rust Day 8

It has been VERY hot and humid today and I haven't felt well. But we just had a HUGE rainstorm with thunder and lightning so the humidity is going down and I hope by morning I'll feel myself again. Thankfully I had this rusty shot to post today. It was originally taken back at the end of May on the day my friend Jane and I went to the Oley Covered Bridge. We stopped at a neat little store after it had closed but there were some great garden sculptures on the lawn. I took a ton of rust shots as I had begun to think about doing a month of rust then. Now I'm really glad I shot ahead!
I like this spiraling rust! I am sorry you were under the weather! Feel better!

Very cool shot, Ann. I love the spirals in the rust. Nice job capturing the color and texture. I find the heat and humidity hard myself. I have heat induced asthma and my doctor forgot to get me my inhaler for the summer. I do hope that you feel better. We are having a thunderstorm now, so I posted my shot for the day and am commenting as fast as I can so I can shut down and then lay on my bed in front of a fan and sweat through the night!!

I like the very rough texture and your choice to come in tight on the shot. Feel better soon!

Aaah spirals - one of my favourite symbols. In rust, even better. Fav for that and the marvellous composition.

Beautiful colours and unusual shape, like snail - I wonder why... Hope you feel better soon. I feel so before rainstorm, too (and it is often now).

Thank you Marybeth, Sandy, Kerri, Dina, Vikki, Dixie, Terry, Bev, Taffy, Debs, Vesna, Carole, Penny, Lisa, and Sally!

The rain did the trick- temps down today and quite comfortable. I'm back to my chipper self!

@summerfield Add in as many as you like- it's an open-ended challenge and all are welcome.

@dibzgreasley @homeschoolmom Thank you for the favs Debs and Lisa! They are always appreciated!

@prttblues I hope the rain in Vt. did the same as it did here in Pa.- brought the temperature and the humidity down considerably. And I hope you can get the doctor to order you an inhaler for the rest of the summer at least.

The humidity is doing me in. find it difficult to breath. today the temperature dropped and hardly any humidity. I could turn the heat on, but then it's only me who is chilly. wish I could get off the blood thinner.
still waiting to find out when they do my procedure. so, I guess you're undated. now to your picture. I like the swirly design in this garden sculpture. what was it?

Great spot, I like those spirals. Hope you feel better soon

@bruni Thanks Bruni! I'm sorry to hear the weather's taking its toll on you. Maybe a good cup of tea is in order (or coffee if you prefer) and a nice sweater. Stay warm! I will keep your upcoming procedure in my prayers. I'll have to go back and look at my pictures from that day, but if memory serves me correctly, it was an angel. The lighter portion might be one of the wings and the swirly part the dress.

@jesperani Thank you Jennifer! I'm fine today. The heat and humidity was bad yesterday but several rainstorms have brought the temp and humidity down, so I feel fine today. I've never been good in the summer- even in my teens, the heat would wipe me out.

I had tagged you when I posted it but I put the wrong tag so you never saw it. I was thinking about you the whole time I was there taking shots!

@mrssmith203 Thank you Carla!
@daisymiller Thank you Daisy!
@joemuli Thank you Joe!
@altadc Thank you Alta! I think it was a sculpture of an angel. Now I have to go back and double check!

And thanks to all the well-wishes. Sometimes the heat and humidity just get to me. I'm fine today as both are down to more reasonable numbers.
