Still working with simplicity and minimalism. Gibson wrote, "Minimalism is simplicity to the max" which I thought aptly described the genre. My thought today was to take the 365 Toy theme this week and strip it down to its essence. I guess you can't get more basic than the product trademark! But I also like that this pov gives you enough of the lid to know it's a jar but not much more.
My grateful thanks to all of you! And I must agree with those of you who commented on the sweetness of Nutella. I do not normally buy it (the sacrifices we make for 365!) and although I like the taste, I won't buy it again because of the high sugar content. It's the first ingredient they list on the back- that's not a good sign!!
@olivetreeann Just out of curiosity, why do you use a inset border for your images? It seems to be your signature and I'd love to know how that came about.
@whimsicalgrateful Thanks for that insightful question Marta! I hadn't thought about it that way but it could be like that. How did it get started? Well, the first thing I sort of figured out in post-processing was how to add a frame. And in my early years on 365 I used to do a black outer border with a small white inner border on most of my pictures. I look at a frame as a way to finish the picture off and in a way it keeps your eyes in the picture rather than moving right along. After a while I started just doing a simple border around the edge and sometimes I'd use a color from the shot on the border. Over the last year and a half or so I've dabbled more with different kinds of frames and now that I'm using the Smart Photo Editor program in my computer I've started using this particular frame. I like the way it puts an edge on the picture, but also lets the photo run to the edge. I received a good critique recently though which has me really paying attention to what kind of frame I put on the picture- and even has me considering whether I need to do it all the time or not! So there you go- more information on frames than you ever wanted or ever needed to know!
@olivetreeann Thank you for the detailed reply. It was interesting to read how the frames came about. Do you print and frame your photos? I am so guilty of not printing my photos out...
@archaeofrog Thanks Katie! Yes, you'd never know it was a short, squatty looking thing by this shot!
We did have an art group in the past that practice this . The name : the Group zero

@bill_fe Thanks Bill! If they ever make a sugar-free or sugar-free version, I'm in!
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian!
