So here's the last shot of my photo-walk with Sam. Oh yes, there are plenty more pictures, but I think you've been quite patient and have seen enough! Sam knows I've been going to different garlic farms and photographing their harvest, so he was quite excited to show me the garlic his mom is growing in the backyard. The farmers I've met would probably have trimmed this scape and let the sun's energy be consumed by the bulb, but Becky has let it go (just to see what it would look like and what it would do). This will not ruin the garlic, but the bulb may not grow too large because of it.
@skstein Thanks Sandy! Yes, Sam knew I had gone to a few garlic farms and taken pictures of it, so he wanted to show me what his mother was growing in her garden.
