Thank you so much to one and all! I have discovered that my little squirrel friend is not a "he" but a "she". So she's no longer called "Little Buster" since Buster was most definitely a he! But she has to be related. In behavior and with that little knick on her ear, she's too much like her predecessor. So I've renamed her "Bester"- a combination of Buster and Esther. Thanks for all the views, comments and favs!!

From his whiskers, to his fur, to his bushy tail, you did such a great job capturing the textures!

@cjphoto Thank you Chris! This is my "new" squirrel. Buster was sadly hit by a car and showed up for a little while still injured but as nature does, he eventually stopped coming and I knew his injuries had gotten the better of him. Then one day, this little squirrel appeared at the back door. At first I thought it was Buster's son- came right to the back door, bold as brass looking for peanuts! Thankfully I still had them. A couple weeks went by and then one day the squirrel stood up on hind legs and I learned that "he" was a "she"! So I call her "Bester"- a combo of Buster (she even has a little knick in her ear like he did) and Esther- a girl's name. She's getting used to the camera- not sure she likes it just yet, but she doesn't run away anymore when I come to the door with it.

Aww so sorry to hear about Buster. That's so sad. But I'm happy he sent a friend (or progeny) in his place. So cute that she's getting used to you and the camera and what a perfect name for her!
