Flash of Red 2018-20

I was just too lazy to pull out the tripod to capture the neighbor's garage light in the mist the other night (well, it was pretty late and I should have been in bed!) but I really should have. Still, I don't mind the less than sharp outlines. It makes the mystery of the night a little more mysterious. I was trying to capture the syncopated rhythm of the tree trunks.
Love the creepy feel!

I think the blur helps to make a great capture.

Like the little bit of blue in the shot - adds atmosphere to that mist.

I really like this - but I find it hard to pin down just what it is that resonates with me - the starkness against the mist? the multiple vertical lines? the blended tones in the background ( is that what you call them when they are in b&w? shades maybe?) the composition? I guess it's everything together!!

never mind the tripod, this is really eye catching. The lines of the trees and the shape of the light drawing the eye into the unknown. love it.

I really like the nature of this. Had it been really sharp I wonder if it might not have worked so well. Provides real mystery.
