I ventured out on the deck last night (not too far- still a bit wobbly!) to get a shot of the Harvest Moon but since I can't go up and down the stairs I was limited to what I could capture because the poor camera couldn't decide whether I was photographing the tree's silhouette or the moon itself. So, here you have a composite of the two- but I really like the result!
awesome composite, ann. and here i was thinking i should ask if you're going to batavia sometime mid-october and i forgot you just had a procedure. oh, well. i haven't been to niagara in more than a year and there's a $69/night promotion with wine tour included so i signed up. i'm hoping to shoot the sunrise over the falls (if i don't get too drunk! 😂). guess i'm going solo.
Oh this is just lovely! So clever! Glad you're getting out on deck again! Thanks also for your many catch-up comments on my recent 365 posts. Most appreciated.
Thank you SOOOO much for all those views, comments and favs! I was pleased with the combo and so glad you felt the same. As it is true to the season here- the moon gets crisper and brighter during harvest time so this is one full moon I always enjoy capturing.
@aikiuser Most of the time I prefer putting it slightly off center for similar reasons. A photographer who recently spoke at our photo club on line expressed the same thoughts as yours. One of the things she includes in her moon shots to avoid that is often a silhouette in the foreground and when the camera kept focusing on the leaves in stead of the moon I thought, "This might work to my favor" and voila!
@axika Thank you Alexandra- the knee is doing really well! @kuva Thank you Megan- I agree- I think this turned out really well. @pistache Thanks Clare! And thank you for the fav! @bybri Thanks Bri and thank you so much for the fav!
