@kjarn I am no expert but I do have a definition- an aperture is an opening, hole, or gap and in photography in particular it is an opening which light can pass through- as in the hole made by the opening of your lens. The crazy thing about aperture on a camera is that the higher the number, the smaller the opening; the lower the number the wider the opening- very counterintuitive! So, in this shot, Photo Club Phil is wondering how large the aperture is on the white foam packing ring he's discovered.
