@olivetreeann Ann what is your photo developing process? It looks like you folded or rubbed the edges in/on this one. I like the atmosphere of the photo. I can almost touch the sea air.
Best,
Sam.
Thanks to one and all! I had taken a seat on some of the jetty rocks and was doing a bit of people watching when this group of young adults climbed on at the end. I'm not sure what they discovered, but eventually they gave up on trying to get it out and climbed off.
@sutlivesam I used Smart Photo Editor on this one. I first converted it to black and white to bring out the clouds. I then put it in a low-color effect to bring some of the colors back in. That effect also added in the "rubbed edges" you noted. But the coloring was darker so I then added the white edging over the top making it somewhat gray. After that I put the lined edge on the outside to pull the picture in. Although it was a pretty hot and humid day, it was cloudy, so my goal was to keep that cloudy feel in the overall tone of the picture. Thanks for the comment Sam!
Ann your results are really good. It must have been hard to stop playing with it. I don’t usually edit photos to keep the editing result yet I do like playing with editing to see what kind of color and light contrasts I can make. The changes can be quite striking sometimes! @olivetreeann
@sutlivesam Sometimes I let the photo go way over the top, but most of the time, I aim to blend the feel of the original photo with some of the sprucing up good photo-processing can do. I just enjoy playing with them.
Best,
Sam.
