5th February 2015 - The beach "Found" in our garden

These are some of the stones we "Found" over the years from beaches we have visited. We like the black/grey ones with the white stripes mostly found on a few North Devon beaches.

@busylady We had a missing paving stone near the retaining wall and so we piled the rocks into that space. It makes a nice feature.

@pixiemac thanks Sarah! Barbara was a little better yesterday after the initial shock. I was so angry as they gave her the bad news alone while I was sitting outside in the waiting room. Finally she said to them she couldn't take in all they were saying and could they get her sister in. My nephew who used to be Finance Director at the hospital phoned them and gave them the feedback about how badly she was treated. He has done all the courses on patient care about giving bad news. They agreed they did not follow protocol and have apologized. Barbara just in bits as it was the day she had her last operation for cancer that her husband died! You couldn't write a book about it!

Lovely mix of shapes shades and textures, nice processing. Saltburn beach has a very pebblie shoreline, but it doesn't match Devonshire beaches!

Love the markings and the texture on these. I feel angry too after reading about the treatment your sister received. How can people working in that sort of job be so stupid and insensitive? My heart goes out to your sister.
