For my Mentoring/Critique Group. This weeks theme is Macro - B&W.
This is my bottle opener which has been very well used over the years but recently seems to be redundant. The wine bottles all seem to come with screw caps these days.
I took a few shots some at F/22 with it all in focus but I decided I liked this shot at F/2.8 - I love a shallow dof. No insects to be found outside so a hunt in the kitchen drawers produced this for my macro shot.
@taffy@newbank@888rachel@golftragic For your comments if you have time. I have found this week a struggle to find a macro shot which converted well to B&W. I would have liked to get an insect but it's the wrong time of year.
I love this one, Pam! It's cleverly done (the title really adds to the overall sense of the image), and the way the point is framed by the circle, and the curves repeated beyond the point, works so well to create the image. Superb!
And it should be a bit warmer -- Colorado can be warm, dry, and sunny OR cold and snowy. Am in denial it can be anything but beautiful so haven't yet looked at the weather!
@taffy Just going to check out Colorado so I know where you are going!! I love travelling with you Taffy and seeing so many different places. I hope you get some good shots this weekend - well of course you will!! Safe journey and enjoy!!
