This is a shot I took last year of my great niece Sophie. It took a lot of persuading for her to sit for me and I managed to get some lovely shots - most of which she hated!! She much prefers a selife taken on her Iphone with pouty lips - what is it with young girls these days? I did a re-edit on this shot as I wanted a B&W shot.
Many thanks for all your great comments and Favs on yesterday's shots - very much appreciated!!
@claireuk I love B&W portraits Claire as I think they can often be more flattering when you get rid of blotchy colours on peoples faces. Don't forget if you were indoors with your shot you may have the wrong White Balance which can give you a yellow glow if you had a light on. Good luck.
@pamknowler Oh the wb could not cope at all; I did auto, tungsten, cloudy and one other which escapes me now; I was in a yellow lit sports hall with a red bouncy castle! I don't shoot raw either, so am limited to corrections
What a charming natural beauty she is! Such is the pity that young people won't recognize how exquisitely beautify they are until they look back in (much) later years! I'm glad you got this and the others as this is what people really do see when they look at Sophie!
Lovely portrait, expressing beauty, joie de vivre, and I think a sense of humour. Perhaps when she's older she'll appreciate it more. Anyway, I appreciate it and it's a fav for me.
