I haven't seen any finches in my garden for a few months now but today I was pleased to see the green finches return. They didn't stay for long but it was great to see them.

Your bird feeder is well designed so that they have to remain still for a photograph if they want to eat. Mine is too open and they hop about all the time! fav
like you, my shots are all hand held with my 400mm lens. A few chaps recently have said that I do well to cope with this as I must admit it's a heavy lens and you certainly know you've been carrying it when you walk around for a couple of hours
