18th March 2015 - King of the Castle

I am so thrilled these goldfinches have returned to my garden!! Just love them!! Here he is perched on top of the bird feeder!

Many thanks for your great comments and Favs on yesterday's shots getting my little dunnock onto the PP!!

Wow just seen this shot on PP plus my little mouse which means I have three shots on PP at same time! That's the best ever! Thanks for getting them there! What a great week!
What a beautiful bird, I've never seen any finches like this!

Incredible shot...love the feather colors, great clarity, focus, dof

@salza Thanks Sally!! Finlay is fine - there is a young black cat who has suddenly appeared in the garden in the last week or so and he keeps sitting on top of the fir tree at the back of my garden. Finlay is beside himself chasing round the garden and jumping at the fence barking. He doesn't stay still long enough for a shot!! He will give himself a heart attack if he is not careful!! LOL!!

I expect the gold finches in my garden look good too but this one is outstanding. Is it the sun or the fine focus! Perhaps one helps the other! fav
