Well here is Finlay this morning. I have just brushed him and he looked lovely. I popped inside for the camera to capture him in all his glory and he had been drinking from the dirty birdbath. His chin is now all wet and grubby!! This dog will never look clean!!
There were men in the next garden chopping the tops of the trees and he was listening to them.
Many thanks for your lovely comments on Finlay in the bath. he is such a good dog and just stands and lets me wash him.
How wonderful to see this shot on the PP! Many thanks for your lovely comments and Favs which got it there!
Such a cutie , he looks a lot perkier this morning than he did yesterday in the bath ! You may have got him clean on the outside but controlling what he drinks is another matter -- Alfie is just the same -- any dirty puddle will do !!!
What a sweet capture of this little prince. I once helped to rescue a Westie, by night, from a situation of neglect amounting to abuse. When we got him he was covered with his own feces. When we took him to the place we had arranged, we stood him in a bath and washed him. We thought he'd resist, but he seemed to enjoy the warm water and gentle attention. Reading about Finlay reminded me of that. The rescued dog eventually went to a good home where he was really loved and looked after. I wish all dogs, and cats, were as lucky as Finlay.
