I finally managed to upload the Topaz Texture Effects software - why is everything so complicated when I do it? Trying to find things on the Mac has confused me slightly but finally completed upload and managed to open it in LR!! Easy when you know how!! LOL!!
This is my first go at using the software and I love it!! It even seemed easy to me (amazing I know!!). This is a shot of a long tailed tit that I took at the country park. I love this effect.

Topaz effects uploaded ready for our new theme. I have LR and PS but my PS skills are very basic. Not done layers. Sally has uploaded some tutorials for me on layers so I will try to work my way through them . Love this first Topaz effects edit.
Whoohoo!!! It looks great! And it is remarkably easy with all the presets. Once you've got the presets managed, what Jane showed me was how to open those up so you can do adjustments. That also is pretty easy. It's such a fun extension to processing!
@taffy I did double click on the preset and then make changes and finally add a frame - so many choices! Is there something else I should be doing? Really enjoyed all the different effects!
I don't use LR or PS but get asked if I want Topaz nearly every day on email! I'll have to do something about it. This little bird almost looks like an owl except for its long tail!
This is fantastic Pam you've done a wonderful job, especially for a first-time effort. This app is not complicated, just needs a bit of time to get things the way you want them. Fav.
@888rachel Marnie and Jane are going to host a theme about textures and layers -,I think. Nothing concrete yet but I have been wanting Topaz fir a long time and there is a special offer on at the moment that Taffy emailed us about.
Just beautiful, Pam! Aren't the results rewarding? I find that I can now go back through albums and find thousands of photo possibilities to play with!
