Quick upload as I am busy packing for my week in Devon. The sun is shining today so fingers crossed that the weather stays fine.
A shot from yesterday's meet up ion Woburn. This is one of the rooms in the little museum. Anyone see anything they remember? We definitely had the Oxo tin. You can just see the Singer Sewing machine on the right and I can remember learning to sew on my mum's machine just like this treadle one.
Many thanks for you great comments on yesterday's shots - very much appreciated!!
Wow yes! I recognise quite a few things.......I see in the cabinet one of those tray things with a handle for sweeping crumbs off the table! Actually quite useful!! Lots to look at here.
What a fascinating image and room, I remember lots, still have my Singer Sewing machine, even if it is consigned to the attic these days, The lovely big ceramic bowl in the cupboard comes out every year for mixing the Christmas puds and I keep promising myself to learn how to make those rag rugs, I remember us having one beside each bed when we were very young!
How nicely displayed these memories are - I can remember my grandmother and the rag rugs - and of course, the Singer Sewing Machine - guess most women knew how to sew back then. Nice shot of this lovely nook.
