We arrived in Devon today to be greeted by gale force winds. We stopped of at Westward Ho! as we were a bit early to get into our house in Instow. The wind was so strong we had trouble standing up. Finlay needed a walk after being in the car for 6 hours so we decided to walk along the path towards Northam Borrows. Can you see that dark cloud out to see behind my sister? Yes it came in with torrential rain, hailstones and thunder! We were absolutely soaked! Finlay was in shock at being pelted with the hailstones - they really hurt!
An iPhone shot as I have left my Canon at home this week. I am going to use the Panasonic Lumix FZ 330 I bought last year but have not really used. It is so light it is a joy to carry round! Let's see how I get on with it.
We had similar weather here in St Neots Cambs this afternoon. I had just arrived at the allotment when this huge dark cloud passed over, then the thunder and rain came. Hope it improves for you.
Oh dear.. my two sisters ate leaving NZ today for the UK to do a tour around Southern England and Ireland.. I think they are expecting Summer... I write this as some winter su shone is streaming through my window...
OMG, what a shame to get this kind of awful weather when you're on holiday. We've had a week of cold, wet, super-windy weather too. Just when you thought spring was definitely imminent, then a bunch of cold fronts from way down south.
