The is another image from yesterday's session with Sophie and Ellie. We had such fun doing the mirror reflection shots - some were truly horrific we were crying with laughter. Sophie knew what she wanted here - all about different images - inside and out and being broken. This was my favourite from this session.
As I understand the final project will be a display with some of the best images enlarged for the wall. Each student has an area to display their work - I know Sophie has made a room in a box and she is displaying her interior design. She has embroidered a covering for a stool which is beautiful - especially as it was my sister who showed her how to embroider a few months ago. She is very talented with some great ideas. I think the examiner goes to the school to see the final projects. I do hope she gets good grades!!
I understand all the students are using photography to back up their projects but Sophie said that they are all using iPhone images which do not enlarge very well and so she thought she would go one better and come to me!! I am loving being able to help. I never had children and it is a joy to help my great niece in this way!!
Great creative image, if you have images from the same PoV with different expressions you could play around in PS having a different reflection than main subject...
You're getting the best of "Child Rearing"...it's like being a grandmother! You get the fun of teaching and sharing in their passions! Wonderful! Such a lovely girl and the photo is beautiful! (IMHO she really doesn't need that heavy makeup...just a little powder... She's already beautiful!)
@Weezilou heavy make-up? That’s light day time make up. My goodness you should see the girls when they go out “clubbing”. They will both be 18 next weekend and are sharing a party. They look at least 25 when all made up! I hate it! They don’t need it!
@leonbuys83 For Sophie's project I have only done very few minor adjustments as I shoot in Raw. That is acceptable to the teacher. If I did major changes in PS etc it would not be Sophie's work. We have had to be careful and have photos of Sophie actually taking the images and we are providing a sheet of all images taken so that they can see her work progress and how she chose the final images. As the final work is going to be examined she has to be careful to show that I did not take the photos for her.
