Lift bridge

This is the first lift bridge we’ve seen so we stood and watched it in action.
The lady got off the boat and wound it halfway up then the man got off and took over to get it high enough to pass through.
The weather was lovely and there were so many boats on this stretch. The most picturesque section we’ve seen so far with a large lock flight and pretty cottages.

A beautiful shot with super reflections - fav! I find canal walking a fascinating experience, especially some of the interesting routes through out major cities. The engineering is amazing as well.
