Driving in the country noticed work being carried out on the 400,000 volt power distribution system, dove until I found these men working at height on a L6 Tension tower, all went well until they noticed me taking their photograph, this caused some arm waving and a lot of light hearted abuse, I shout back explaining that I used to design these routes for National Grid before retiring, then got the thumbs up and a cheery wave)
@simta Большое спасибо Татьяне, как инженер-электрик, это тип распределения энергии я принимал участие в моей последние пять лет до выхода на пенсию :)
@onewing Thank you Babs, they seem to be happy in their work, as an engineer overseeing this type of work I'm used to the banter and light hearted abuse from the men, lol)
@peterlgrave Ha Ha Thanks for your comments Peter, with 400,000 volts if you get within 3m of a live conductor and you would be instantly brown bread:)
Excellent & unusual triptych. Is that chap in red at the top drinking a bottle of beer?! As one of 5 females working at police HQt I was also used to light-hearted banter etc....
@quietpurplehaze Thank you for your lovely comments Hazel, beer is a sackable offence in this industry, everyone is subject to random alcohol and drugs testing, caught with more then the set level is instant dismissal, banter is all part and parcel working in construction:)
@novab Thank you for your lovely comments Nova, just guys in this shot, their are lots of gals working in this industry most are engineers or in management rolls:)
"one flash & your ash "lol
Interesting, thank you & yes, guess it would not be wise.
