After the nightmare of driving through the Honister Pass, its very steep with lots of sharp bends just wide enough for your car but has two way traffic you arrive in the peace and quite of Honister Valley to stop and catch your breath.
@rosiekind As you know the Lake District is full of beautiful scenery its just if your in a car you can't always stop at the spot you like, thanks for both your comments and fav Rosie they are both appreciated:)
@cfrantz Thank you for your comment and fav Cynce they are much appreciated, the English Lake District is a national Park in Cumbria and is full of wonderful landscapes:)
@gilbertwood Thank you so much for your comment Denise, I'm going to drive up there again travelling in the opposite direction to this one my wife Jenny is less than impressed:)
Beautiful scenery, well worth the drive, even though the journey was rather traumatic. Could be worse, you could be driving along 'thin' roads in Cyprus up in the mountains, that's really scary.
