Appleton Acadamy

Photograph taken yesterday lunch time and yes it snowed all day,
Appleton Academy in Wyke West Yorkshire opened in November 2012 after an extensive design and build phase, which led to the creation of a new £22m building
Appleton is an 'all-through' school, which caters for ages 3-19 in one building and, as such, the building has been designed to create a seamless transition of pupils between phases with children 'growing' with the Academy through the building.

Very interesting roofline - an interesting concept to cater across such a large age span.

That would be very early for snow for us - although we did have some in April one year. This is open to everyone? i.e. not a private school.

@dide Thank you Dianne I have driven passed many times to take a shot in far better conditions, but there have always been children about so elected not to take a shot, must have been hiding from the snow, lol:)

A very modern building. Too cold for me. I really don't think I could cope with cold like this any more.
