Stranger No33

My Friday people this week is The Right Honorable Criag Whittaker MP met him at a meet and greet this morning would have been rude not to include him in my Friday people,
He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Calder Valley since the 2010 General Election. Craig was re-elected at the General Election in 2015.
Craig was born in 1962 in Radcliffe, Lancashire. He emigrated to Australia at the age of five with his parents in1984, Craig came back to live in England and settled in Yorkshire.
Craig was a Retail General Manager for a Blue Chip high street retailer and was involved in Retail Management from leaving high school in Australia, after completing his Higher School Certificate.

i saw the image and immediately recognised the style as being your's.. This is a lovely portrait, he looks relaxed with you, his smile reaching his eyes.. beautiful skin tones..

@jorlam Thank you your wonderful comments, I do try to make my subjects relaxed, but Craig was very friendly and used to being in the public eye, he was so laid back he was almost horizontal, lol:)

@miata2u Thank you so much for your lovely comments Peggy, He is very approachable and friendly, I don't know how approachable your politicians or but over here you can generally meet up your member of parliament at their local office( MP's Political Surgery) about every other Friday to discuss issues with them, this was one such Friday:)

What a creative way to expand your network of aquaintances and perspectives. You must hear so many interesting stories! This man looks pleased to have his portrait taken.

@teiko Thank you for your comments Emilie, I started it some time ago and your right you meet some fascinating people, I only ask to take their portrait and ask their first name leaving the rest up to them, its interesting what they will tell you:)

@stray_shooter Thank you Ron for your great comments, I think he only says that when hes at work lol, plus he was raised and educated in Australia only returning as an adult he should have said G'day mate:)

Really good portrait and story. I can't but help wondering if Craig is now wishing he had stayed in Australia...............

Excellent shot. His travels have been similar to mine but in a different order. I was born in Yorkshire, moved to Whitefield in Lancashire, (close to Radcliffe), lived lots of places after that and ended up in Australia. I bet he wishes he was back here now.

@onewing How interesting Babs suspect your settled where you are now, your possibly right about him staying in Australia for the climate both political and meteorology, lol:)
