you beat me to it.. i photographed my pods today too.. i was undecided between two images.. i will process the other one tomorrow, too late this evening..
i love this image of your's, it's slightly different to mine.. i'm really liking the textures and colours too.. the PoV is fabulous - with all these points, :-) i also like that there is no beginning/end - just continuous pattern spilling over every side of the frame.. it's a beautiful image Peter..
i'm uncertain as to why you've used such a high ISO - no tripod??
@jorlam Thank you for your interesting observations and Fav they are both appreciated Jorlam, I was wondering what you would come up with the pods we collected I will have to wait a little longer, as you said I just got there first, my idea was to get in close and fill the frame with all the image sharp hence f22, as for the high ISO my thinking was to add noise to help the textures along (didn't work that well) my camera was mounted on a tripod and triggered remotely:)
@onewing Thank you Babs they always fascinated me as a boy possibly because they could not be climbed pick some plods up last week thought they may present a photo opportunity:)
This is a great demonstration of the details that a macro lens can pick up. Who knew that such pods had such form and texture? This should be a serious contender in the macro challenge.
@stray_shooter Thank you Ron its amazing what detail can be discovered with macro photography I really like getting in close and personal, seem to take a macro shot once a week:)
