Unfortunately I was not able to get inside to photograph its construction,
The name derives from the aisled halls of the Saxons and the stone-built aisled buildings of the Roman's. Aisled timber framed barns are the carpenter's equivalent of the medieval cathedral and reached a high level of skill and sophistication.
@henrir Thank you so much Henri it was my intention to go into the building as its normally open to the public its now a museum, unfortunately its been closed for filming of a new costume drama for the BBC and HBO and in order to facilitate this the hall was closed to the public from: 14 May 2018 to 21 October 2018:)
