Green Anole by pdulis

Green Anole

On our way to Hilton Head, NC, we stopped over night at Raleigh where I came across this fantastic little creature - The green anole is a common lizard throughout Georgia and South Carolina. The anole's ability to change color has given it the nickname chameleon.
Great shot. We've got quite a few of them down here in Fla. also.

Anole is a new name to me and a useful, if low scoring, word for scrabble.

Very nice find and well shot. When you are at Hilton Head, the Pinkney Island Wildlife Sanctuary is a great place to photograph birds.
