pen and ink

A shot of my pen a few days ago elicited some nice comments, so I thought I would show I use it every day. Not the most interesting shot in the world (!) but probably proper for me to record in the project something of my work.
i like it.....i like the dof on the shot....and love writing stuff down.....i also send actual letters to people, too! nice job

I love shots like this, Peter. . .something so satisfying about a fountain pen on paper!
December 18th, 2012
Nice focus!

Waterman?
December 18th, 2012
Great DOF... you have nice pensmanship!

@lyno Yes, it's almost a lost art!
@anoeska Thank you, Anoeska.
@hopelessromantic Yes, Waterman, it's a lovely pen.
@kwind Thank you, you are too kind, I am usually scribbling these notes down during a very fluid and information packed team meeting.

@stephaniedc Thanks, Stephanie!

Great focus and composition - and wow, a fountain pen - unheard of around here, have not seen one of those in decades. Very nice.
December 18th, 2012
It's nice to see that some people still use a fountain pen as sadly I stopped using one years ago. That's probably why my handwriting looks like a doctors! Nice composition Peter
December 18th, 2012
@soboy5 Danny, yes, there are still some of us around!
@rosiekind Rosie, thank you!

Another wonderful image Peter, I really like them both. At school we had huge bottles of Quink on windowsills in the corridors. Although I had no choice but to use a fountain pen then, I did, and still do, much prefer to write in pencil which was considered to be 'childish'.

@peadar Peter, I have excellent penmanship and love to write in cursive. Sadly, that is quickly going the way of the dinosaurs as most school systems here have stopped teaching children cursive. The conventional wisdom is that computers, smartphones, tablets and electronic communications have rendered cursive as relevant as carbon paper.

Great shot Peter! I love the focus on the pen! I love handwriting! I would much rather handwrite than type :) Miss the old times at school before computers :)

@bluefirebucket Mick, for what it's worth, I love writing in pencil, it's like using a nib because the point degrades. Anyway, enough of the sadness, and let's just celebrate "writing"?
December 18th, 2012
@soboy5 Yes, Danny, I hope you are wrong.
December 18th, 2012
@kbalychev Thanks!
December 18th, 2012
lovely shot - nostalgic :)
December 18th, 2012
@rvm Thanks for the comment, Rachel. It is really how I work!
December 18th, 2012
I like it Peter.
December 18th, 2012
Seems you've struck a chord with a lot of people Peter! It is a shame that we all live in a keyboard/keypad world nowadays, nice to see that you still use and enjoy your fountain pen! Great dof and composition....
December 18th, 2012
Cool shot, i liked the dof.
December 19th, 2012
Great focus on your pen. You rarely see real ink pens anymore. They are special to write with.
December 19th, 2012
It looks so lovely, pretty pen and your great handwriting.
December 19th, 2012
I like that shallow dof.
December 19th, 2012
Nice focus! Great shot

@peadar I don't know Peter to be honest. I decided I would stop but now, as I come close to the end, I am reconsidering. Hopefully you will do the same as it would be nice to still have you around.
December 19th, 2012
@jonesp It's nice of you to think that. We'll see...
December 19th, 2012
Good enough, Peter...speaks volumes!
