Today I remember my Aunt Joanna. She didn't want a funeral, but to give tribute I'm posting this in her memory. I took this photo at my cousin's wedding. I'm happy I have this memory to cherish as well as the love from her that I carry in my heart. She wanted her ashes to be thrown to the wind today. ... and in her wishes she wrote, "I always wanted to fly."

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a nice way to pay tribute to her while still resurrecting her wish not to have a funeral/memorial gathering of some kind!

My parents didn’t want a funeral either and they donated their bodies to UC Davis to the medical program. I made them each a charm bracelet to remember them by that I can wear on their birthdays. It has meaningful memories of things about them, their lives , their journey and interests.
