Home Tour #3

The Olmstead Brothers built this home in 1924. The current owner, (a commercial real estate developer, artist, and drummer in a local favorite rock and roll band "Roadkil"), has done some major interior renovations including a side porch made into a sun room, beautiful kitchen with South African marble, and a lovely pool house/studio. Also featured is the owner's artwork and that of his favorite painter, Francis Bacon.

I hope everyone is enjoying the last day of summer (in the northern hemisphere)! Have a great weekend!

Just loving your houses Peggy It's almost as good as going clothes shopping!!! Love all the steps leading up to the front door which seems to be a common feature. I think this entrance is at the side & the steps to the garden so better for access.

Oh my word I wish we did this so I could have a good nose around. Adam gets to go in loads of really posh houses because his friends live in them but he is of an age where he runs outside miles from the house when I go to collect just in case I embarrass him (which I will obviously) so I don't get to go inside :0(
