Goodyear Blimp

We could hear a low drone in the sky to the north of us as we had our pre Steeler game lunch on the deck. By the time I looked up and scrambled for something to take a photo, the Goodyear Blimp was behind the trees. If it had continued on the path when we first saw it, it would have passed almost directly over our house but it made a turn. Ah well.

The Blimp was on its way to the stadium to provide aerial TV views for today’s Steeler game. The Pittsburgh Steelers are playing the San Diego Chargers this afternoon. This Blimp most likely came from Mogador Ohio which is about 90 miles west by northwest of us.

Always fun to see them. Though as a child they scared the daylights out of me! I’d hid under the bathroom sink.
