My Grandfather's clock, left to me by my Father when he died in 1987. It's been in the house a while not working until last year I found a watchmaker who replaced the main spring. Since then, it's gained around 20 minutes a day (I oftern come home after a week away and have to roll it forward 9 hours to get it back on track)
In the last week, it's actually begun to keep perfect time; not a clue why, perhaps the weather?
Thank you for your views, kind comments and favs on yesterday's offering.
What a beautiful heirloom to have - did notice that Carole mentioned it's bonging - can't have everything I guess. Love its face. So glad you found a watchmaker to work on it - they're a dying breed.
