Continuing on from @photobird (who sadly appears to have vanished from 365) project, taking it into year two, another shot of my back garden, one month on from the last one.
Another stunning day today (I hear a guy from London is marrying a gal from America); as you can see, the trees are now in full leaf, the Magnolia is finished with its blossom, as are the Maples. The Tulips and the Daffs have all but gone over (a couple of purple Tulips lingering at the front of the border) and the only real colour in the bed now are the Aliums. In one of the beds, to the right of the photograph, behind the patio furniture, I’ve seen the first shoots of the Dahlias coming through. I didn’t lift them last year after the first frost, as you’re told to do, so I did wonder if the ‘Beast from the East’ (parts one and two) had maybe seen them off, but in this flowerbed at least, it appears not to be the case.
The lawn looks dreadful as it was scarified the week before last, and two full wheelybins of moss are ready to be taken away; I’m hopeful it will recover.
@henrir has given me a fantastic tip, to tag all the garden photographs (which removes the need for the hyperlinks) All of the photographs are now tagged philsgarden and if you wish to see it change through the months (obviously only if you feel that way inclined and have nothing better to do) click here
I love the monthly photos of your garden. If you have the inclination it might be good to add a tag on each monthly photo such as ps-2018 or phil -2018 and have all your 2018 monthly garden photos in one pkace.
@henrir Thank you for that suggestion; I hadn't thought of that at all and have taken your advice. All the photographs are now tagged 'philsgarden' and and can be seen in one place withoiut the need for mulitple hyperlinks. Thank you so much.
