My Garden December 2018

Continuing my ongoing project, another shot of my back garden, one month on from the last one.

Dull, overcast and exceptionally mild for this time of year here in the UK. Nothing of any particular note happening in the borders at the moment, everything is dormant. Feeder is being heavily used by the birds, and the Sparrowhawk is frequently visiting (but yet to capture any of the smaller birds)
As you can see, the lawn is still an absolute mess from the Summer; really begining to doubt it will recover, we'll see what happens in the spring.

New fence still looking good.

Thank you for your continued interest in my garden/yard. All of the previous photographs are tagged philsgarden and if you wish to see it change through the months (obviously only if you feel that way inclined and have nothing better to do) then click on that tag.
very mild. very dull here too. grounds bit slippy and sludgy. i may do this next year one a month of my garden.

Well your grass is at least green, our’s Is brown. PS: Does that squirrel stopper on your feeder work?

Hopefully the lawn will recover with Warner weather. At least the birds have quite a banquet to enjoy. I like your monthly shots of your yard.

But still nice and tidy. Things should start to wake up soon.

@louannwarren The ‘baffle’ stops the blighters from climbing ‘up’ the pole, yes. It’s pretty useless when they jump from the fece or from the tree onto the top of the feeder.

Your lawn will recover, a spot of grass seed and some fertilizer and it will be as good as new.

It looks very nice still. And. as Babs @onewing says, it is amazing what a bag of lawn seed in the spring will do to help in lawn recovery!
