Have managed to mow the lawns this afternoon; Carole has had to take our daughter to hospital (her levels are low) so I'm home alone and again lost for inspiration. The dahlias are going over, I've cut off so many dead heads today, but there's the odd one just in bud which is about to unfurl.
They look like something out of Alien, or Independence Day like this. Straght out of camera.
