I recently had to move my feeder; I moved it off the lawn and back into the border. The reason for this was that the guaranteed non-grow feed was growing and destroying my lawn.
Passerine birds are very wary of change, so it took a few days for them to get used to the fact the feeder had moved all of 4 feet (the squirrel didn't care, it meant his jump from the fence is easier and he's taken advantage of it (must dust off the air rifle))
The birds came back after about a week, the sparrows first, then the finches and finally the tits; this is a filler of a blue tit on the peanuts staring straight into my lens (nvery little cropping and the digital zoom of the powershot has pixelated the photograph a bit)
