On Saturday, the last day of decent weather forecast for a while, we took the trip out to Gunby Hall, one of only three National Trust sites in Lincolnshire. My SatNav took us on a roundabout way (there is a quicker route) but when we arrived a handwritten sign said it was closed due to waterlogged carpark. Had we checked the NT App on the iPhone we would have known, but we didn't. Hindsight is 20:20 after all.
On the way home, we called in at Alford Windmill (a typical Lincolnshire market town, that has a five sailed windmill) for lunch and I captured this;
After lunch, we then visited a garden centre that we've said we should call in to everytime we've driven by over the last 20 years. My task for the remainder of the day was planting out what we bought (garden centres are lethal for me, can't visit and NOT buy something) and then mowed the lawns - so perhaps not that much of a wasted journey
