Just 4.5Km from the villa is the cape of Drepano. On that cape is both the old and the new Church of St George. The old church has a host of icons depicting the slaying of the dragon by St George. The new church is rather ostentatious (not as much as the one we visited yesterday just outside Pomos) but has very few Icons. The Cypriot Greek Orthodox Church is incredibly wealthy.
