FlashOfRed #11

For this week, the flash of red challenge is “same subject, negative and positive space”. Having had clarification from Anne as to what that means, here is my first attempt.

I tried at first with the macro lens, but I was getting too close and having no positive or negative space, so I reverted to the 25 - 70mm f2.8 lens. Camera on a mini tripod, all settings on manual, with infrared remote control to release the shutter.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering taking it to the TP & PP. Much appreciated.

Great lighting

nice - you will have a lot of ways to depict this chess board all week :)

I like the way it disappears into the distance. Always reminds me of Hamlet. In my student days many aeons ago, I directed a version of Hamlet set on a chess board. The way you do when you're young and slightly nuts!!

Good idea to use chess set as your week's subject. Go look at @northy 's album she's the queen (rook, bishop and knight) of chess piece shots. Nice lighting and touch of reflection
