Interesting reading @30pics4jackiesdiamond comment......I prefer the grey/white one because of the focus differences. This one has my eye whizzing all around trying to find the bit that is in focus. The grey/white one is classic and with a lovely focus on the stamens.
@casablanca just shows how subjective art is. I like the balance of the three with the central area of all three colours plus the very white. Wonder which Phil prefers and why??
@casablanca@30pics4jackiesdiamond Hi both. I like them both pretty much equally; they both worked as I saw them before taking them and yes, it annoys me when the white I see with my Mark one issued eyeball is not always replicated by the camera. I try not to do too much processing after I’ve taken the shot, though it is sometimes required but limited.
I also kind of understand high-key and low-key and why you would want to do both; I definitely understand both better than I do intentional camera movement for example. But I also get that it is all personal preferences and personal choices and basically what you like and what you don’t.
